How the heck does someone exit the car after it is parked in the garage? Do you know how wide those 2-dr doors swing in order to open? Were the red colored steel wheel rims original? I would assume almost all of this car is original. I think of the red colored trim buick used throughout the years ... like this ... like the air cleaners ... the '70-'72 GS rocker panel stripes. Is there a connection?
Absolutely Beautiful lookin Cat!! Ya gotta be a bit on the "Thin" side to get out of a Cat in a garage... believe me I know. Sometimes it's through the window. I'm still lookin for that elusive trash can...
Absolutely, original. Red rims were an option all Buicks (no matter what the body color) from, the thirties on. As, far as I know; there is no code on the trim tag or VIN tag for the wheel color. The wheel color options were; black, body color, or , red. Here's another example; <!--"''"--> Here's my '55;
My 46 has red wheels, it seems it was a common thing to do with all-black cars. I love that look, and it sure helps to accent the black paint.
