I'm rebuilding my master cylinder and wheel cylinders on my 62 Invicta.. The problem is that the kit(s) didn't include a diagram.

Anyone have a copy of the master cylinder diagram so I can get these parts in the right order?

    Here's what it looks like:

I can check the manual for pops 61. If it is similar I'll shoot a pic. Actually, I think the internal parts are all very similar. I'll look this afternoon.

here is what I could find in the '61 shop manual.
A cut-away drawing of the m/c and a little instructions on how to rebuld it.

    DualQuad55, YOU ARE THE MAN!

    THANKS!

Any suggestions to a good cleaner/solvent that I can run through the brake lines to clean the goo out? (there was literally goo in the master cylinder.)

You can run anything you want through the steel lines but most everything will destroy the rubber lines and seals in the wheel cylinders.
The best bet is either: 1) disconnect the steel lines at ther rubber hoses and flush the steel lines with something like brake cleaner, then push some brake fluid through them before reassembling rubber hoses etc... then keep bleading the brakes until clean fluid comes out or
    2) leave all the lines attached and just keep pushing clean brake fluid through the system until it is comeing out of each of the four wheel cylinders clean.
DOT 3 brake fluid is good for this vehicle
If there was that much goo in the brake lines, you should replace the brake lamp switch once you have the lines cleaned out very well. THe goo may inhibit the switch from working porperly.
If you are unsure if the lines are clean, or you can't get good flow through them, replace as needed. Remember-THIS IS YOUR BRAKES, don't cheap out here-you can die!!!
WHen rebuilding the master cyl, use a little WD40 or lube as you hone the bore. Make sure to clean it out with brake clean first then brake fluid. Also put a little brake fluid on therubber pucks just before you install them into the master cyl. try not to let them soak too long in fluid before assembly.

    It never ends...

I went to pull the master cylinder piston off of the booster cylinder and goo came pouring out of that!

Any chance you have a diagram of the booster also (since I have pulled it apart into a million pieces)?
