Tom Telesco and CTX gave me some real good ammunition for attacking the
suspension on the car. I think for now I am just able to go with the shocks.
I need to get the tires squared away right now. They have biased plys still on it and I would like to go to a radial. Any suggestions on the size and type
I should put on.what size white walls did it call for.It has 8.00X15 on in now. Recaps on the rear(farmer cheap) .I also think the carb needs a rebuild it has a carter on it. I would rebuild the Carter no matter what ,but do you think a more moden carb such as a edelbrock performer would help the drivability. Any other inexspensive or reasonable upgrades without detracting that could be done. thanks

225/75 or 235/70. Rebuild the original carb. Replacements will not have the correct or any type of kickdown attachments & will be more trouble than they are worth. I could rebuild it if you can't find anyone.

Talk to Carmen Faso about the carb, he'll get you set up there. I'd look into getting an HEI conversion done on the points distributor, will help make things run smoother and give you a hotter spark without messing with a MSD type box. Also go through and make sure everything has grease in it and check the condition of the carrier bearing.
