I have sitting in my pole barn a 1961 Electra 225 conv. It is very rough, floors rusted thru, trunk pretty rusted, interior all there but very rough. It is all numbers matching. The original motor is frozen but has another 401 installed to move it around. It is really rough. I am wondering what would be the best thing to do regarding this car. I really hate to see a car get parted but I do not have the skill, time, or money to do anything with it.
    Just looking for suggestions.
    Thanks, Bill

That would be a real head turner fixed back up again. The '61 was a unique design. It looks like it could be restored if the right person had it. Far better than some of the GS projects I've seen as a starting point and it looks mostly complete.

I'd like to see you save it, and sell it whole to someone who will put it back together again. This may not be the best site for that. There may be more people in BCA interested in the full size cars.

    Mike,
I am thinking the same thing. There just are not many of these out there that are complete. I have always had a special place in my heart for 61's due to the awesome lines the car has. I wish I had the ability and $ to do a project like this. I like the idea of the BCA. I did not think about that before. I am going to post a few more pictures and hope someone may be able to give me an idea what to ask regarding price. I have no idea where to even start.
    Thanks, Bill

Bill, I love the 61 225 converts and I would hate to see this one go to waste. But I have a feeling you would not let that happen :TU: . I looked a long time before I found mine so they are hard to find. Lets some more pics about the condition of the car.
