Beautiful, low option coupe............https://chicago.craigslist.org/chc/cto/d/1961-buick-electra-100/6602021740.html
Wow! I didn't realize those were worth that much. A good friend of ours recently received a 62 Electra 225 convertible that was restored like 25-30 years back but sitting in a barn since. Keith
Well Keith, you know the old saying....."It's only worth what someone's willing to pay" We'll probably never know what this car will bring.
This is a hard one, the car is awesome but lacks any kind POP from color combination and the lack of options on an Electra definitely isn't going to help it any. Definitely a car you would like to own, but not one that lights a fire to make you want to own it.
I agree with that Adam, if it was a flashy color and well equipped it would do probably closer $18/19K. Proper size whitewalls would help it look more right as well. Sadly they did not offer an Electra 225 in the 2 door, just convertible and six window 4 door hardtop
Price lowered to $27,500- https://chicago.craigslist.org/chc/cto/d/1961-buick-electra-100/6609353125.html
Yes, there are very few options in that one. One of those cases where they really could only afford a nicely optioned Invicta but cut back on the Grandkids Christmas gifts so they could squeeze into a basic Electra
Mine has the "incorrect" Electra 225 wheels, but I prefer them over the original Electra wheels. Plus my whitewalls are "oversized', lol, but the combination works for me. :>)
I noticed, but the wider whites look far more correct that the narrow ones on the one for sale. Throughout the years various models had the next step up wheel cover or a fancier cover as an option, were the 225 wheel covers available as an extra cost option on a regular Electra?
