It was a red car once, and would have looked pretty good as one. At least it could conceivably be returned to that with the price of a paint-job and some hard to locate trim. It is pretty low option and the owner spray-bombed the interior black. I guess some will like it, some will not. I've never been partial to the "rat-rod" thing where sloppy-chic is the style; everything is hit with a black primer spray-bomb, tends to look sloppy and not finished, but that's just me. The thing is people pay a lot of money now to duplicate that look, when all they had to do is ask a biker to hit it with a primer can in between bongs.

Wouldn’t have to go far for trim! I think I bought ever piece of 1960 Buick trim back in the early 90’s. NOS 1st year of Tri-Shield(!) grill emblem,NOS FULL TAIL PANEL (find one of those ANYWHERE!) NOS BEZELS,REVERSE & parking lights, 5” thick Dealership only whatever album ,NOS transverse muffler hell I can’t even remember it all.
Probably need to sell all that & the car since I haven’t even moved it in decade

Color scheme is the worst, but an Invicta 2-dr hardtop is the best series/body style.

I got no use for converts. Roof looks like crap when up, and also looks like crap when down UNLESS you have something like an Eldorado with a fiberglass boot. Wrinkled/bunched canvas ruins the lines of the car, esp when the other choice is a gorgeous, sleek bubbletop.

Yep; it's not the popular opinion, but if I followed the masses I wouldn't own what I own; it'd be a '57 Bel Air 'belly button' convertible, and I could line up with a dozen more at a car show.

    1972Mach1 Just some M.M.O.G. guy.....

I'd spray the sides black, leave the scallops, and drive it. It's also a great foundation to restore if its rust free. A purist could put the stock suspension back in easy enough. What's a rust free body worth? Then add in perfect glass and nice trim, and apparently it runs and drives.

No; no styled wheels for ‘60; ‘64 is the first time Buick had anything other than a stamped steelie (or wires).

You forgot to mention they're noisy and they leak. I've owned 3 of them, I should know. I'd love to trade my Electra convertible for a 59 Invicta hardtop or sedan.

When I saw my hardtop sitting, lonely, in a carport, I remember saying this exact statement "If it's an Invicta, it's mine". And so it came to be.
