'60 Buick key - is this original?

A friend of mine has bought a '60 Buick Electra 225. It comes with a key and keychain of doubtful heritage. I assume the key isn't original, but what about the keychain? The seller has claimed it is a giveaway by the dealer for the first owner. I'm not convinced, what do you think?

 

The key contains the trademarked flying horse for the Mobile Gas Company.
