Being the obessive modeler I am, I strive for accuracy in my builds. So, I'm after some advice re colours on a '59 Electra.

Underside of the body. I assume red oxide, with primer and top coat overspray?
    Chassis. Black? Low gloss/satin
    Suspension. Black as above?
Dynaflow. Steel pan, alloy bellhousing, cast iron case?

    As ever , thank you.

I think you got the nail on the head. The red oxide IS the primer on the underside.

Are you 100% sure about the red oxide?
Red oxide is not the only color of primer used by GM back then.

Yeah. The fenders and hood would be black primer, but that’s it.
