Yesterday I received an unsolicited catalog from "Fairfield Collectibles." Fairfield sells model cars and anything else that they think some idiot will buy. The three inch model of Hermann Goering and the sports bra that holds wine were especially nice. In any event, they have for sale a 1:18 model of a 1958 Buick Limited Westerner. It is complete with a "long horn" hood ornament, calf skin interior, engraved wood panels and "door mounted holsters complete with Colt pistols." Two removable Winchester rifles (they look like '94s) are mounted on the transmission tunnel. The catalog states that the model is a "replica." Replica to me means copy or model of an original. Was this a Buick show car? Did some '50s country singer have one built? Oh yeah, It is called the "Wells-Fargo convertible". You can have one for only two payments of $59.95. Plus $9.95 shipping.

Belonged to Cliff Robertson, star of TV show "Wells Fargo Days". I remember seeing it for sale in the car corral at Carlisle years ago.

It was Dale Robertson, not Cliff. Though Cliff Robertson was an actor from the same era, and did his share of westerns, and was actually more well-known than Dale Robertson.

Yep, it was Dale, and it was "Tales of Wells Fargo". Should have gone to the internet rather than rely on all those dead brain cells!
