This approval gives you full access to the site, to pictures, and to post, among other things. To be able to enjoy the full potential of the board for you, you need to be fully registered.. and that's easy.. Just send an email to me at jim@trishieldperformance.com and I will verify your registration. Hey, anyone know where I might be able to find some weather stripping for my '55? Also looking for an ignition because the previous owner lost the key, so now it starts with a toggle switch.

Steele rubber products should have the weather strip kits, and your local parts store should have generic ignition switches.
Your car should have the actual starter operated of a switch on the carburator unless someone replaced the carb with a different unit. You would turn the ignition switch to run and press the gas pedal to the floor. It would inturn pull the carb linkage all the way back and close the switch.
If he switched carbs, you just need an old "Chevy" stlye ignition switch with the starter mode included. Later Buicks ran these also. I know our 61 is like this but I am not sure what year they changed to it.
There should be vendors listed on the board who would carry most of the parts you need to repair/maintain your car if you cannot locate them locally.
