I just purchased and original 5335 shift handle from a board member and I'm very pleased to finally have correct shifter for my car. I bought a black Hurst knob with the 4-speed pattern on it for my previous shifter and I love the look. The 5335 handle is fine thread, the knob I have is course. Hurst doesn't list a fine thread black knob. I don't want white because it's not correct. It is a bench seat car. Any suggestions?

    Thanks in advance.

I had black, but it disappeared in the black interior. I went with white from eBay.
Same seller has black, free shipping

Thank you Curtis, I'm likely going to go this route. Much appreciated. I have not purchases anything off of eBay before. Did you have a good experience with this vendor? Are you happy with the product?

Smooth transaction. You will need paypal though. Make sure they ship internationally though. Of not PM me for my address and ship it here. Pay the shipping and I'll forward it on as a gift. It's a small package wouldn't be much.

Just to finish this off, I purchased to knob that Curtis suggested and it is a nice piece. I love my new (actually it's 43 years old) 5335 handle. Thanks again Curtis!

    BobBuick still crazy after all

    Brad-
I know it's too late now but for anyone else with this problem I put cardboard on 2 sides of the black ball , sandwiched in a vice and retapped the threads . Worked perfectly for my 72 bench seat 4 speed
