... after a spark plug change 3-days ago, I noticed the needle/pointer on my 5"-Monster Tach is acting ERRATIC; WHY???o No: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A_YBFjNLCW0 o No:
Mine does the same thing. Autometer told me to check the ground, and if I had an MSD, which I do, to ground it in the same location as the MSD box, which I did. Nothing helped so I sent it to them and they rebuilt it but it still does it. You can try the ground. In my case it only does it at an idle so I just live with it.
Thanks VERY MUCH ... I feel better. I WILL check the ground for the Tach, and make sure I didn't reposition the Tach wire/spark plug wires too close to SOMETHING after I changed the plugs. My tranny-builder told me HIS Tach does the same thing for years.
... Gentlemen; my negative battery cable was "2-washers too loose" ... just like the positive battery cable. The Regal spent a lil time OUT of the garage/performing street duty today ... so THINGS were NOTICED.:TU: THE TACH'S NEEDLE DOES NOT JUMP AROUND ANY MORE. :TU::TU:
