Search the old posts . There are many on this topic. However the 455 block is not strong enough to do too much. Perhaps the newly cast block will permit more.

I just bought a D1X procharger and I am going to push about 1050 with it. I would go more, but the block probably won't take it. Some things I am doing to the block is roller cam bearings, block girdle, and I am making my own "secondary girdle" to add to the block. Also nitriding the crank is a good recommendation, if using a stock one, and I am using a stock one.

Its been done. One of the members here has twin turbos on his 455. As long as its well built and tuned the stock 455 can handle some boost, but the aftermarket blocks will handle a helluva lot more.

That's what I'm banking on! :Brow:

Of course, then you need a car that can handle it. :Dou:

If wyou had an engine like that in a 76 electra 4 door hardtop, :Brow: would you have to add a bunch of bracing to the structure to support the added torque? Since its got no b-pillar I would think the car would twist there.
