Putting a 455 into a 66 GS that originally had a 401 NH, which is long gone. The wire harness is trashed and I need to get a new one, I have a source that makes them from scratch and was wondering which harness to use: A `67 GS 400 engine harness (primary choice) or a `66 300-340 (secondary). I know for the most part either would work pretty good, but I was concerned if there is an issue with how they attach to the junction at the firewall. I don't want to run into an issue with the pins being switched around, i.e. hit the wipers and have the starter engage, etc. I guess what I'm looking for is confirmation on similar swaps that other people have done and what they encountered.
