I have a chronic leak in my oil pan gasket. it seems to be coming from the back where the rubber seal goes along the rear main cap. I can't get the pan to put enough pressure on the rubber to stop the leak. I'm using a felpro gasket presently, but i thought I read somewhere on this board that there was another brand of gasket that might have a little more meat in that area that the felpro. Anyone know of other gasket manufacturers and any experience with the gaskets?

    thanks

You can't go wrong when you use a gasket like Felpro, McCord, or Victor and have a good straight oil pan that has not been over tightened. AL

The most favorable gasket to use is the Mr. Gasket / Victor style. In some application a liberal amount of Silicone is necessary. Make sure that the leak in not the rear main.

yea and Buick`s are known for rear main seal leaks even with the Neoprene seals.

    Thanks
