These were in a 470ci motor that I ran, had about 10 passes on it when external Oil pump drive broke and motor ran for about 2 minutes without oil pressure. They have been sitting on my shelf for about 7 years, originally purchased from Mike Phillips at AM&P. That motor had stress cracks on the crank, and 3 cracks thru the main bearing saddles. They are in very good shape, they are .038 over, have valve reliefs for the big 2.260 intakes, they take a .990 pin, have double snap ring locks, from the receipt: "set- custom flat top JE pistons for use with nitrous 4.350" With rings these pistons weigh 622 grams, have a compression height of 1.550, and the top ring is 1.250 down. Pistons have rings on them and 2 new number 2 rings in a box from JE, I remember breaking one when I installed them, so i must have ordered a few, so I think the rings are new. Like I said this was a 470ci, 3.95 stock Buick crank, 7 in. GRP aluminum rods, and with a zero deck, 66 cc heads, I'm pretty sure this motor was 13.5 to 1 compression. I had been keeping them to use in the aluminum block when I finally got one, but have decided to go with a bigger bore. $425 shipped to lower 48 US states. Any questions call me at (858)531-2963

PM if interested. I'd take PayPal for payment, or we can discuss other "legitimate" methods.

Do you have some 7" rods to go with it?
    Thanks Rick

I wasn't planning on selling the 7 in. rods, I had GRP check them out after I hurt that motor. I might give them a call and see if they still work for my next build, which will have more horsepower, and more nitrous.

Anyone?? You know you want to build a stroker, so here's the pistons. Price is fair, shipping included... Ok, I may consider a reasonable offer, the TA blocks are almost ready!

    Michael Evans a new project

What is the "stock" compression height.

Will these work with the pontiac rods I have (6.625 long) and stock 455 stroke?

I am wanting 8.5 or 9 to one compression...............

I'll need to make some calls to see if they would work, they just might...

Gary, I'm very interested if no one above takes them.

Do you have pins to go with them? And the rings that are on them are the ones that were in the motor with 10 passes on them? Any chance you have the original box or paperwork? I know it's a long shot after 7 years. Can you post the part number? Thanks.

I may have some pins (TA heavy duty) I'll have to check in the box that I have the rods in. The only number on the pistons is 315F, on the bottom backside of the piston. I do not have the original box. All I have is itemized parts sheet from AM & P, regarding the pistons it says: "set- custom flat top JE pistons for use with nitrous 4.350, double pin oilers, 6cc valve reliefs, pin fit, must be checked for valve clearance, double spiro-locks ( I used dual snap rings instead)". I think the rings are new, but not totally sure, I'd use them.

Sorry, the pins that I have are worn. Still a great deal on custom pistons with rings....But I've decided to make it better, $395 shipped to lower 48. I'll take PayPal, PM if you're interested.
    Thanks, Gary G.
