I am just wondering if anyone is running a 455 in a blazer. If you are, what are the results? I welcome any comments  .

Sorry, I can't help much, but I once did see a 1972 Blazer for sale that had a Buick 455 in it. It was running some major lift and boggers, so it must have been a blast to play in!

I currently own a 1990 Bronco and have wondered what a 455 or Cadillac 500 would be like.

I think you will enjoy anyone of them, but that 500 Caddy has some serious low end pull.

I've heard that a 455 won't fit well in the engine bay of an s-10, so I presume a Blazer would face the same issues. Heck, a Chevy 350 won't fit easily (fan clearance issues), and the 455 is a larger motor all around.

I've got a friend with a 1977 Oldmobile 403 stuffed into his 1987 Toyota pick-up. Man, what a hack job! Even with just an electric fan in front of the radiator, he had to cut his grill and bumper, bolt the exhaust manifolds on backwards, and can't remove the distributor without first removing the engine. But at least that sucker has some rompin' power now. :Do No:

In last month's 4 Wheel and Off Road there's a 500 Caddy in a Jeep CJ. Looks like it fits well.

I've also seen a 455 Buick in a 50's Studabaker with a Blazer frame under it. It is in a private junkyard of the local mad scientist (he has a lightning machine...very cool).

Yikes! I bet there's no more 10-bolt in the back. I wonder if it has an operational 4WD. Can you imagine launching that sucker with a high stall and lockers front and rear?!

Don't know what size blazer your refering too? a S-10 or full size?

If full size...John Stevens on this board runs a 455 Buick in his Surban that he pulls his drag car with, ( even has the GS hood scoops molded in it's hood.):TU:
