buick 455 I have an early 455, not sure of year, serial numbers gone. Ran good when pulled 2 years ago, sat inside since. Located in north central iowa. Complete except for carb, alternator, waterpump. Also have working TH400 short shaft. $500 firm for engine 600 for both.
455 im in laramie wyoming right now, but i will get you the casting numbers when i go home for thanksgiving if you can wait a couple weeks
I have a 71 buick electra with a 455 in it. I'm letting the whole car go for 500 because I no longer have space for it. The 455 that I have in it is a replacement because the original burned out. This one turns over and runs, but it has a hole in the passenger side exhaust manifold, and it also have a knock. I'm not sure if it's the crank hitting the oil pan or not, this is what it sounds like. It was put in right before we began getting our cold snap here in wisconsin so I didn't have any time to do any major investigating. The engine I would recommend to be rebuilt, and the car it's self comes with everything that I collected to try to restore it. Please let me know if you or anyone else is interested.
