Hey, has any one tried or used billet main caps for the big block buick(455),if so were they easy to deal with like just having to get the main saddle honed and oil pan clearance?

What about using in conjuction with a ta block girddle.Has any one tried that combo? How much cost and hassle is it to get and
install a TA block girrdle?Looking for a good safe combo to get my
12.0 sec 70gsx clone into the 10.9 range with out blowing the block up.Any info would be appreciated.

I haven't known of anyone to use different caps,if you look at the block you can see they wouldn't be the problem,it's the block itself.(Just my opinion)

Another idea is to "pin" the caps.John Zerucha can fill you in on that.
