Why when there are excellent reproductions out there would someone spend that kind of money on a emblem  AL.

    wrong pin spacing

...especially when the 455 emblems are WRONG for A-bodied cars.

Someone's going to be P.O.ed when they get them and find this out!
Besides, why would they have purchased 455 emblems for a St.1 car???

Matt, 455 emblems are correct for GS 455 w/o Stage 1 option,

Yes that was a board member, but I'll let him identify himself if he wishes.

I know he's building a very nice Stage 1 with all NOS parts, and with the level of car he's building, I can see why he'd be buying the Stage 1 emblems.
Some people like to have it just a certain way, and I can understand the feeling of using original vs. repo when possible.

For sure the 455 emblems are not correct. Lacking the areas that were "blacked out".

The part number I show in my '70 dated parts book is 1394737.
I know a lot of numbers got changed over the years.

I'm going by the part number on the parts. I have a set of each. Also, check your assembly manual...they use the number cast into the part, too.

    Makes sense.
The casting number doesn't always match the part number.

ah yes, the no expenses spared, resto types

it seems like some of those guys just want to build their car just as correct as it can be no matter what the cost. i kinda envy those kind of guys, they always have the best cars.

those 455 emblems are wrong for the 70, right ?
