455 Air Conditioner compressor brackets

I have 2 sets of upper and lower AC compressor brackets from big car 455's. I also have 2 compressors with minor issues. Just pay the S&H and they are yours. Otherwise heading to dump next weekend.

These brackets are different from a GS set-up?

 

I do not kow for sure...I bet George would know, I will PM him and find out.

 

Are the lower brackets aluminum or steel?

 

I think (99% sure) that they are all steel, but I will look later when I get back to the shop.

 

I could use the brackets if they're not spoken for.

I need an upper bracket for 69 350 Skylark, I assume they are the same??

 

350 and 455 are not the same.

I'll re-phrase it. The 455 brackets from a big car are the same as a 455 GS application?

Same among all Buicks for a model year. Specific with brackets such as aluminum lower with stamped steel upper for 70. For 71-2 stamped/welded steel lower matched with stamped steel upper. You can NOT use the stamped steel upper 71-2 with the 70 cast alum lower since the holes will never line up... I tested this theory for several variations and could not get them to work.....so don't interchange years.
