As a 100% Turbo Regal lover (along with my other Buicks), I can honestly say that unequivocally, without a doubt, NO!. And I have owned a total of 9 86/87 Turbo Regal cars, plus an 84 T-Type swapped with 86 T/R drivetrain. There is just SO much Ka-CHING! spent on developing that car that it puts just about ANT turbo 6 Regal to shame. And it is reasonably streetable. Did you even watch the video?
Very nice piece.......Like to see what it runs at the track but probably never happen. Often dyno numbers don't translate to the track. I talked to a dyno operator that said numbers can vary widely depending on what the customer asks for.
The only big problem with 1600 HP, high powered Street cars is traction. IF you're spinning you ain't winning. I have to admit, it does have some big rubber on the back of this GN. I can feel my adrenaline pumping when I hear that engine revving at top speed. Wow, that's bad assss ride.
Pretty much useless on the street. My drag cars with less than half that hp don't hook up at all on the street even with slicks or drag radials. And if you get loose with 1600hp (and you will) it won't be a fun ride.....might be going off-roading.
I agree, that's way too much HP for the street. Having it go swirly is easy to do. I noticed, when he did the burnout, the car was still rolling, easier to control. It is a cool looking car. Gee, wish I had the money someone put into that car for my car lol.
