I sold Scott a complete set of wheel well mouldings for a 65 skylark,,we agreed on a price,,,and because I live in Canada,,,I didn;t know what shipping would be,,,because,,,I have a UPS box in Niagara Falls New York,,,so to help guys out who buy stuff,,,I take the stuff there and ship it out,,,,saves the buyer paying any duty or insane brokerage charges,,,,,SOOOOOOO,,,,I really had no idea what the shipping would be,,,I shipped out the mouldings,,,,sent Scott an email of what the total cost would be,,,I received an email from him thanking me for sending them out and packaging them up so well (I built a small crate to ship them,,,at No Charge),,,he said they looked great and was thrilled with them,,,,and thought that he could put them on his car,,,,even though I told him when I sold them to him that he should have someone who knows how to work with that stuff,,,knock the little dings and polish them up!!! Sooooo I shipped the pieces out on Oct 27th,,,sent the mentioned emails back and forth,,,on the 31st of october he said he was sending the check,,,, Last week,,I sent him 2 emails,,,as of right now,,,I haven;t recieved a check or an email from this guy,,,I understand people get busy,and things happen beyond out control at times,,but im thinking,,almost a month and haven;t heard a thing,,,,gets a little suspicious!!!!! Funny thing is,,,the last email this guy sent,,,claimed that he was so happy with the pieces,,and that if there was anything at all he could do for me,,to let him know,,,he also claimed that he had deals with other guys for the mouldings but most backed out and he claimed screwed him around,,, SOOOOO if your reading this MR SCOTT DUNN of 2881 South 96th Street,,,West Allis Wisconsin 53227-3358,,,,,what you could do for me,,,is one of three things,,,,,send my mouldings back,,,they're still mine until you pay for them,,,email me and tell me why exactly you haven;t sent the check yet,,,or,,,you could be a man of your word and actually send the check!!!!! Sorry you're having issues with Scott, can't say I'm familiar with him as a member here. I know it's a little late now, but my advice to anyone selling parts here is get your money FIRST, unless you know the buyer personally, or know enough about him to trust him. Even so, buyers have been known to change their mind and simply not send payment for parts they said they wanted. It's happened to me. Don't ship w/o being paid first. I'll try to contact Scott too, and will let you know if I find out anything.
I sent him a pm after starting this post,,,,hopefully its linked to his email to notify him that he has a pm,,,,I did notice that he hasn;t signed on since about the 20th or so of October!!!! If he contacts me and straightens up,,,thats all I want,, As far a payment first,,,Id like to give everyone the benefit of a doubt,,,just like to think that everyone is honest and that theyre word actually means something!!!!

Chris, I heard back from Scott overnight. He states that a $236 check was mailed the day before he left on a China trip. From your post, it would seem that would have been probably Nov 1st(saturday), give or take a day. Says he's returning to the US the 2nd week of Dec and will look into this if the check still has not arrived. From my experience at work with US/Canada mail, it is not unusual for a simple letter to take 2-3 weeks to reach its destination. Sometimes a little quicker. I'm not saying that's the case here, but it is a possibility. I'm in fact currently waiting for a money order from western Canada, will be interesting to see how long it takes to arrive here, I was hoping for this week so I can get this big box out of my office. Anyway, I asked if he knew the exact mailing date, will post if I see a reply.
Thanks for checking that out and getting back to me!!!! I was able to dig up some info and able to call his cell phone this morning at about 8;30,,,he said he was in shanghai (spelling???) And he did claim that he had sent a cheque before he left,,,,I will give him the benefit of a doubt and give it some more time,,,,he told me when he would be back home,,,,so hopefully everything is resolved shortly!!!! What has me scratching my head,,,is that I sent him a few emails last week,,,a pm through here lastnight,,,and another email last night,,,,and instead of emailing me back,,,he emailed David,,, Anywhoooo,,,,by christmas this should all be resolved one way or another!!!! Thanks again for your help Dave!!!!

Scott has straightened this matter out,,,when he got home from his trip over sea's,,he checked with his bank,,,the first check has gone MIA,,he cancelled it and has sent a 2nd check!!! And also sent a letter along apologizing for the delay!!! I believe he was being sincere!!!:beer
