Does anyone have a picture of a 401 starter so i can see how they mount, reason is i have a high torque mini starter for a 455 Buick but dont know if they would fit in the 401. Thanks
It is a spacer that centers the starter in the opening where it is bolted. It also adds stability to the actuator since there is no cone on the end of the Nailhead mini-starter. Cheryl
George, Tom Telesco custom makes a high quality mini for our Nailheads. Darn if I could just find his email address. He is on many of the Buick Boards so I'll see if I can get his contact info. He lives here on East Coast and frequents E'town etc. Nice guy and know's Nailheads and Straight 8's in side out.
George, I am still not convinced you know how to treat a lady after your welcoming to the board. But, I think I can get past that, and this is useful information. Tom Telescos information is as follows: Classic & Muscle Automotive 465 Glenbrook Rd. Stamford, CT 06906-1820 Phone #: (203) 324-6045 Email: telriv@msn.com Cheryl
