400 into regal

    any updates to the sticky on 455 transplant into 80 regal?
    the drill your own holes/line/level seems pretty complex to me.
    no updated bolt-in & go mounts?
    ive got a line on a regal with dead 3.8 & a 69 400 sitting in my garage,looking for a home :eek2:

    Good power to weight ratio with the 400 in a regal :)

    My friend made my mounts...we set the motor in where we wanted it and made templates out of paper using the existing holes in the frame. Then we made mounts from the templates. We where able to just bolt them right in without drilling or pulling the motor back out.

    but i cant weld and i have no friends :(
    hmmm,i really have to think this one over.might be more than i want to go thru.especially with the project im still assembling.hey,at least its in the together stage now :TU:

    holy hardware store batman . what's with the welded up nuts ? i sure wouldnt trust that setup .at least use some pipe and/or maybe run some flat strap over it all to keep it there .

    Those welds penatrated really good...it will never break. We where at the shop in the middle of the night ...we had to work with what we had.
