I have four Wheel Vintiques 4 3/4 BP Ralleys that have only been out of the box once to look at. I checked their website and they show $196.35 per wheel with a note stating a 10-14 week backlog. All four wheels for $720 plus shipping. Located in Milford, Ct. Zip is 06460
Ken..please note that i am interested however, do these have a standard offset?? AND is the center section chrome plated or brushed satin nickel? Perhaps some pix would be nice! ThanX buddy! Wheelz, Tampa Bay
Hey Wheelz, how's that Tampa weather? We're getting ready for another foot or so of snow here. These are standard offset wheels. The first lip off the center is the width of a dime rather than the wheels used on the '70 GSX cars where that lip was a quarter wide. The centers are chromed as the satin repops were not available when I bought these. I'll try to get a couple of pictures of them. They're in my shed and I'll drag them up to the garage before the white stuff falls again. Also, one of the local Buicks guys is interested as he heard I was putting these up for sale. I'll post some pictures and whoever commits first (Wheelz or the local guy) will get them. If neither is interested, then Allen would ne next. Thanks, Ken
Here's a picture of one of the wheels. They all basically look the same as like I said earlier they were only taken out of the box when I got them to check quality. BTW, I was mistaken these are from Specialty Wheel, not Wheel Vintiques, if that makes a difference to anyone. o No: The last picture show the lip I was describing above.
ThanX Ken. I am really looking for the wheel centers to be restored in brushed nickel like the originals. :Brow: So I pass. ThanQ for your time! NEXT! Wheelz, Tampa bay
Still Available. I don't think anyone has these in stock (as far as I know), so if you're looking for a set of perfect wheels here they are. Thanks! A few more days then it's off the EBAY....
I'm interested! What is the factory offset for a 70 - 72 GS and how do these compare to factory? Jeff
These are the factory offset that is most commonly found on the 70-72 GS cars. There was an offset on a wheel know as the "WG" wheel. I believe these were only on the GSX cars in '70 (might be wrong on that, need to doa search). Also, the center spokes on these are polished and bright chrome whereas the originals had more of a brushed look to them. Unless you are going concours, these would be great on your car. There's a lot of guys out there running these and they really make the car pop. Let me know if you'd like them. Thanks!
