    docgsx It's not a GTX

I took the 350 turbo trans out of this car and replaced it with a Muncie M20 from a 67 Firebird. All is well so far. I need a couple little pieces to complete the trans portion.

Its not bad to do. I have never done one till now. I had to drill the side of the block and tap it for the ball-stud. This engine was not pre-drilled. Thank God the crank shaft was drilled for the pilot bushing.

Nice project! What's the original application on the 4 speed hump? Looks like maybe a Pontiac piece?

I think I bought that hump from C A R S. They listed it as Buick but when it showed up at my house it said Pontiac on it. I will have to modify ti now since I am installing the consolette. I think I will cut some pie-shape pieces out of it to try and lay it down more like the Buick piece would have been.

Lee, If they will work, I am interested. I would really like to finish this up. Then I can break everything back down for detailing.

It's going to be a blast to drive!

If you have not welded the trans hump piece on yet, you may want to contact Dave K and get a correct apearing one. He also has all the other parts you may need. Keep up the posts of progress

Thanks Mark. I have the levers/tabs on the trans now. I just need the shift arms. The long arms that connect the shifter to the shift tabs on the trans.
