Working on a 4 speed set up for my`70 GS.

I am planning to use a 64 vintage Muncie that I have.

Can the tail shaft housing be directly interchanged to the later style with the speedo on the passenger side?

    Appreciate any info. :Do No:

    Thanks

Sorry this doesn't answer your question. I paid a pretty penny for a custom length one to run to the passenger side. In hind site, a truck may have a longer cable that will work for your application.

I am running a '63 case that I just rebuilt for my 66 GS. Your muncie should have the 7/8" countershaft. I believe they went to the 1" shaft in '66. Operation is the same. You can swap around the tail (extension housing) from 63-66. I dont remember seeing the early muncies with a passanger side speedo , but they probably made them. Give Kajun
jon a call, he's good at mix and match, with all the muncies.

Thanks Frank, you are correct mine also has the 7/8"counter. To look correct I was going to swap housings if they can interchange, but this way, converting from a Turbo 350 I can use the same cable.
