I am interested in installing a GM 4-speed stick in my 66 Riviera instead of the ST400. I want to keep the Nailhead too....Has anyone ever seen this done before? Anyone done it themselves? I see that you can buy a bellhousing for this, but what about a pedal setup. I know that Riv's never had a manual transmission option, but I think it would be cool. Any help would be appreciated.

I have seen one. It used to be in Virginia. One year he brought it to the TRR. He said the conversion was difficult.

Did you ever make any headway with this. I was considering this for my 65.

Bendtsens sells a complete manual setup, bell housing, flywheel, pressure/clutch disc, release bearing. They are at www.transmissionadapters.com

No, I didn't do this....not yet anyway. I am going to stick with an automatic until I get the money to do this.
