I think this has to be just about the coolest looking hot rod I've ever seen. Looks like whoever did it, did everything right. From the 455 engine, to the A/C, instrumentation, woodwork on the interior, colors, etc. It even has my initial "M" on the back panel! I've emailed for more info. http://ww2.collectorcartrader.com/details.php?adId=90231534
Mike I agree that is one sweet ride. The woodwork reminds me of a waterbed headboard I once had.:Brow:
the alternator is on the wrong side, what a pos!!! i wish it were MY pos!!p :laugh:very tasefully done, hell the price aint bad either:bglasses:
Maybe I'm wrong but it looks like a 38, I think the 39's had the headlights on the fenders.o No: Edit: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1939...oryZ6144QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem Here's a 39.
Pictures in the post look like two different cars being represented as the same one . For example one view show steering wheel with dash shot and I see mechanical gauges. Another shot of just the gauges show a compete electronic dasho No: . Either way I think this was tastefully done! Matt
Thats a different car altogether. Look at the top of the dash its straight across and the 38 is higher in the center. The seller got his pics mixed up. I plan on hitting this place tomorrow and looking it over. Not to buy it just to see it. Like a 1$ car show in there and they have memorabilia and antiques also.
Yes I do, very nice car, won at a lot of shows around here. Last time I saw it though had a little discoloration on the trunk. But over all a very nice car.
If you have any more guestions, I can try ti answer what I know and remember about it. Mostly, the quy who last owned it bought it that way, and just showed it.
Just looked in my 70 Years of Buick Book. It's a 38. Unless they took a 38 body and put it on a 39 chassis. Trust us old guys!:Comp:
They didn't answer my email. Plan to call this week sometime. If anyone really does know or see this car I'd like to hear their opinions. Not that I'll pay any attention... I've been known to behave erratically when Buicks are involved.
I do know this car, the last/ possibly current owner, b/c gateway classic cars is a consignment place. His name was Whitey Morrison. He bought the car as it sits, but it is a great looking car. Just like I said last time I saw it, it looked like it had some discoloation on the trunk lid. Yes I'm sorry it is a 38.
