I haven't gotten to this point yet, but will soon. What is the difference in fan shrouds? I don't have one for a 455 so don't know what to expect. I am putting this 455 in my 71 Skylark. I don't care about looking stock, and, I am not making a clone. It will look just like any other old Skylark Custom. What am I going to need?

    Thanks,

    Dean

You'll need a shroud off another 455 car-GS, Riv, Electra etc. The 350 shroud is offset where as the 455 is centered. I think the 74-76(?) big car shrouds will work too but they have the coolant and washer fluid tanks built in to them. HTH

Phil, We used a shroud from a 1972 Electra 455 in our 1970 Skylark with a transplant 455. The Skylark 455 has the late big block (71 and up???) long style water pump. The shroud is a perfect bolt in and looks factory. I have no idea if any other year shroud is the same. Hope this helps, good luck with the swap. Steve 70Stage 1
