picked up a very nice looking 2:20 first m-21 yesterday and the guy threw in a good low miles centerforce 11" clutch disc and matching gm rebuilt pressure plate . the car was originally a "v6 three on the tree" so the clutch linkage is all there and appears to line up ok etc . the question is : i picked up a new lakewood bellhousing pkg a while ago and was wondering what kind of issues i will run into installing that ? i don't really need that much bellhousing with the "a" motor ( basic clutch pkg ) but the "b" motor ( good flywheel and clutch pkg balanced with motor ) will have some extras and figured i may as well get it in there and set up correctly the first time . thanks for any info / tips . del

The driveshaft length from a TH350 and a Muncie 4 speed is compatable.

You need to determine the output spline of an M21. I have read they have both spline counts.

    output spline:

    TH350---27

    TH400---32

    M20-----27

    M22-----32

of course any combiantion is possible with the mixing of parts so first you need to verify your M21.

my main concern is upcoming problem areas with using the lakewood bellhsg as opposed to the oem style . got a ford 9" in the rear so i was planning on having to have a shaft made anyway . there are a couple good local shops that i can get a quote from to compare to places like denny's in buffalo . del
