I keep forgetting, it's either 6.385, 6.358, 6.835... I don't remember. Anyone have the "spec"? Are the earlier rods different than the later beefier rods? I've heard they are by a small amount, but I'm not sure.
The literature and online references say that the earlier rods are 6.387" and the later rods are 6.385" so with a .003" difference that is pretty much an insignificant amount, nothing to lose any sleep over.
Easy tip on remembering: the stroke on a Buick 350 is 3.85, so just keep that '385' number in mind and add 6 inches to it: 6.385
