hay guys i have few questions for you. here soon i am going to be looking for a good running 350 after i sell my dirtbike. what things can i do to make it faster and snappier . but keep in mind that i still have the stock v6 rearend in it. i do have a coil over kit that i am in the middle of putting on. thanks mike:3gears:
Kinda depends on where you are - if you're in Ca check the Summit and TA catalogs for CARB approved aftermarket stuff - keep in mind that if the factory did not offer a 350 for your year you're SOL smog wise anyways- if this is not a concern, look at a nice 4 bbl aluminum intake, you can use a stock Qjet or get an Edelbrock or... carb and a set of headers on the other side or just a good true dual exhaust 2-1/2" or so. then you can maybe consider a cam - ( dump the stock timing set for a good double roller ) . This'll get you started. Hope this helps!! Robert
Depends on which 350 your talking about. I'll suppose you're talking about the Buick 350, in which case, go to the Small Block Buick section. Do a search and you'll have lots of reading to do.
for a buick 350 get 3 series gears from an s-10/astro van/camaro/firebird/ bravada/jimmy then dual exhaust and a crossmembers.com trans crossmember 2500 stall torque convertor port heads alot ,4 barrel intake and carb, recurve distributer and a lunati 67001cam
well scratch that. i bought a 455. its a blue block. its got a fresh rebuild. dont have many miles on it. i am going to get it running . and drive it . but i have a set of stage one heads that i am going to put on it and a new cam . how much horse power will that give me? will i break a stock 350 trans and v6 rearend? thanks mike
the 350 trans with a good shift kit will be ok for a while but the rear end will break pretty easy ,get a good posi and a rear end girdle and you will be ok for street but you will need something stronger if you use sticky tires at all i have a set of 73-74 street ported heads for 250 and if you have a 75-76 set of heads it will bump compression up some also
