350 over to 455

    I would like to know what it will take to swap out my 350 and put in a 455 for my 69 GS?:Do No: :beer

    I believe that you need to change the frame mounting pads as far as the bolting it in part. There are other differences in hose routings etc, but once you have the frame pads, it's basically a bolt in swap.

    Yup, check the TA catalog for frame pads. The TH350 will bolt up to a 455. Might not live long, but I've been doing it since '92, no worries:TU:

    I tore down motor to a bare block and it goes to the machine shop for a face lift Monday March 3. Finally getting started.....

    Aren't you going to need a Big block fan shroud

    Plus, the wire harness may be a bit short, but you can make it work.

    you may have to do a lil exhaust modification also .... but no biggie.
    if you have a 2 or 3 core radiator now, you might want to up that to a good 4 core.
    the swap is well worth th time if you are lookin for a car that is a bit more macho.

    if you are providing transportaion, i think you might find plenty of helpers (myself included ....... i will even bring the frame pads with me to save you the shipping ... thats how nice of a guy i am:TU: ) from this website.

    The fan shroud is different as well.
