350 headers

I am new to Buick, having recently purchased a 70 Skylark Custom with a 350 in it. I'm looking to get headers for my 350 engine. I'm in Canada and I'm looking to get the most bang for buck headers, preferably available in Canada already.

According to the Holley website, the Flowtech #31100 FLT headers work with the Buick Skylark Custom 350 that I have, which I can get for a decent price in Canada.

According to Summit Racing, the exact same headers don't fit the same car.

Does anyone have recommendations for long tube headers for the 350 other than the flow tech ones or experience with these flow tech headers?

I am aware of the TA Performance headers but after the exchange rate and customs charges, they are double in cost compared to the flow tech.

Those flowtechs are for a chevy 350. Doug's has long tube headers for the 350 buick with 1 3/4" primaries like the hooker super comps. TA is the only one I know of that sells both 1 5/8 & 1 3/4" primary headers. I have a set of 1 3/4 TA headers on my Skylark. They fit pretty good. Tight but good. I bought them in 2001.

Those flotechs aren't Buick. They are for a Chevy swap.

You just missed out. Holley sold off all their slow-moving stock. Every Hooker header for Buick big block and small block they had sold at 1/2 price a few months ago. Sorry for your loss.

T/A Performance is your best bet. The cheapest of the choice between them and Doug's. TA knows their stuff about Buicks. I've spent a fair bit with them and other than having to sign for the UPS delivery, they are good to work with.

    Yes, TA performance for headers.
Remember since your new to Buick, the Buick V8’s ( 350 and 455) share NOTHING with their GM cousins, each division, Chevy, Pontiac, Oldsmobile, Buick, and Cadillac had their own V8’s designed and built by their division.
When you look for parts that are engine specific, make sure they’re for a 350 Buick V8, not a Chevy.

Ok, so the consensus is to pay double but get the TA Performance headers.
Any other options out there for Buick 350 for comparison?

Options as far as for Buick performance stuff? Not really, the Buick engine is a niche engine.
Pay double? You’re not really paying double, you’re paying for performance parts that aren’t mass produced like a Chevy V8.
    LS parts aren’t cheap either
Talk or check out Ford prices or Mopar prices from the smaller companies that produce parts for those makes, I’m not talking Edelbrock that mass produces parts, I’m talking niche vendors that make parts ONLY for that marque, it’s not cheap, but you get what you pay for.
These niche companies KNOW their product, and they FIT like their supposed to.

Post an add in the parts wanted section. Maybe you’ll get a hit.

I've got a set of TA 1 3/4" 350 headers I'll be removing this winter and eventually selling. They don't have but maybe 100 miles of use on them. Purchased in 2001. I'm going to try to make it to Bowling Green next year. I only live about a 3 hour drive away. I'd like for someone to get some good use out of them.

They're chrome plated too. A few minor flaws but will clean up nice. The car sat for A LONG LONG TIME. I'm in the process of building a 455 and should be swaping the 350 for the 455 this winter. I also will be parting with a set of TA 350 aluminum valve covers too of the same 2001 vintage. I just have to get the 455 built first and then will start the process of removing the 350.
I've uploaded a picture of the engine compartment on my Skylark.

Not sure if you are ready to list the headers and valve covers, but I would like to be first in line for both. Let me know.

I've been reading that the 5/8 headers are the way to go, so I think I'll just get new ones from TA.

I picked up a set of Hookers for the wagon from a member on here. Sounds good with 2 1/2 duels out the back. deals are out there.
