Hello all. Planning a manual swap in my g body Regal with a 67 340. After years I finally located the correct bellhousing for my car so I'm starting to get my list together.
I had a few questions. Are all 340 cranks drilled for a pilot bushing and if not, is there a solution?
I have a 160 tooth g body flywheel off of a 231 powered car. Will it work and does it have to be balanced in some way to match the flexplate?
Were all blocks drilled and tapped for a pivot ball?
Guess that's it. Any help appreciated! Jason

IIRC, the G-body bellhousings had the clutch fork come out at a weird downward angle. Is that what you have? ElCaminos are good sources for the pedal linkage. It's also repo'd.

I did a manual trans swap on my '66 300. Block was already tapped for the stud, and the crank was ready for a pilot bushing.
300/340/350 flywheels are interchangable. The old odd-fire 225 V6 was balanced much differently. Not sure about the 231 V6.

That is the bellhousing I have. No fork yet, but I have found just about everything reproduction. I suppose if the 300 crank was drilled I should be good to go. I was just trying to avoid pulling my trans just to inspect things. Thanks!!
