No power brakes with this cam. Not even close. I think it only makes like 6", it has been awhile since I had a gauge on it though. I use to run a TA 210s which ran power brakes just fine. This cam is much more streetable and I still went 11.60's.

What kind of brakes are you running?

I now have power disks in front and drums out back. Can I take out the power booster and change the brake rod and still be able to stop from those kind of speeds?

    Thanks
    Mike

I have factory disc's. I just took off the booster and got a master cylinder from Master Power. I think it's just off of a manual disc Corvette. It works ok at the track but I don't like it at all on the street. I really should upgrade to something better.

Randy, I should have posted that. It's an HP series. 9375-1.

    sound

Anybody have a way of putting sound on this board of the 308 cam starting up and at idle ? I'm in the planning stage of a street driven 455 for my 69 and really want a nasty sounding idle...
    Never heard a 308 in a car.

    cam sound

Wondering if this might make a good thread on it's own ? Would be pretty cool to be able to hear a variety of cams in action..Nice way to get through the winter.

I'll try to attach a video with sound...
(This is the "Hemi Killer" cam in our 70GS......at least thats what I was told when we bought the car)
We're running 3" Summit cheapie mufflers, and 3" pipes back to the rear axle. It's kinda loud. :gt:

    Oops... can't "attach" it.

Maybe I can upload it and provide a link?

    *edit*
    Yup. That worked.
Prepare to NOT be impressed though. It was taken with my digital camera under the car. The video is terrible, and the sound is almost as bad. :gt:
    LOL
I also assume this will crash my server after about 25 downloads.

    cam sound

Okay, the video was dark but except for the audio being on the short side (fixed by hitting play 20 times) that was way cool to here. Hope this catches on to others.....

    Rick,
Man I have to get busy. That's a nice buick stable, I'm jealous.
