Could anyone post the stock cam lobe and lift, cyl head, intake type, carb CFM (its a 4bbl), exhaust manny type, ignition power limit, piston size (domed? flat top? recessed?), connecting rods weight and tq limit, and crank shaft weight for the 307 that came in the 85 riviera?

I play this AWESOME game called Motor City Online, and I am trying to recreate this engine on the game so I can see what different intakes, cams, headers, and carbs would do to my HP and tq (the game uses a simplified version af dyno 2000!). Its a great game, check it out at www.mco.ea.com!

I also would like to know if anyone out there has modded this engine, and if so, how much can the transaxle take torquewise?

Thanks for helping a n00b to the hot rod scene!

I have Dyno 2000 also.....but the 307 is an Oldsmobile engine. I don't have the specs here but can run em if you get the specs.

I have a 307 in my 86 Regal. I call it the Gutless cutlass engine. 140 HP and 250 ft lbs of torque, but it sure doesn't feel like it. I think this is one of the most hopeless engines to ever come out of GM. Little 4 cyls can outrun this car. I would just drop in a small block Buick if I was you. That's what I'm going to do when I get around to it.:Brow:

Well, im kinda on a limited budget, I dont have many tools, and I just wanted to put a new intake, carb and headers on it. I dont want a world beater, just a bit more umph.

The Hurst Olds/442 from the mid-eighties had 200HP I believe - that might be a good one to copy. Not exactly a 'terror', but it's a step up from a regular 307.

You might check over on www.realoldspower.com and see what parts are available. You can also find alot of info in the FAQ section of www.442.com - pretty much anything you want to know about the 307.

Hey, thanks for the info man! I was only wanting to do maybe an intake, carb, headers and exhaust. I think the reason I was having trouble finding specs is due to the fact that I was searching for a buick 307 tho. Dummy me figured a buick would have a buick engine in it lol. But Appreciate the info all.

You can thank GM for all that 'corporate' engine stuff!!
