Are we talking about a street car or a race car? My race car Regal weighs 3105lbs with a BBB motor and I could get it down another 100lbs if necessary.

Thats with me not in the car and the 8 gallon fuel cell almost full. To reduce weight I run aluminum heads, mini starter, fiberglass front bumper with aluminum bumper braces, aluminum intake, A/C box removed, Vega steering box, aluminum radiator, one racing seat and no back seat, door side impact braces removed (about 14lbs each), manual windows, stock rear bumper with impact bracing removed and stock bumper braces (mounts) gutted, gas tank removed with a 8 gallon fuel cell instead and aluminum brake drums. I do have a 6 point roll bar which puts some weight back in the car. I also have a steel cowl hood which is heavy. The motor is a 462 and has run a 6.73 @ 101.90mph in the 1/8th mile.

What is your engine combo? I would love to go to the aluminum heads but my budget wont let me right now. It would cost me more than $4000 to do this.

My Regal is for sale under the Race cars for sale area. If you look there it outlines my engine combo. Talk to you later, I've got to get to the track.
