As I explained in a earlier thread, I just bought a 455/TH 400 combo out of a 1975 Electra for my 65 Skylark. I would like to bolt up the TH 400 to the original 300 engine to drive while I rebuild the 455 engine. Would the 300 be able to work well with the bigger transmission ? Thanks, Jackie
No problem. We have a t-400 behind a 300 in a 66 skylark right now. You will probably need to cjange the torque converter to a smaller 12 inch unit form a 350 because I'm pretty sure, not 100% possitive that the 13 inch converter will not bolt up to the 300 flexplate. Jim Burek
