On my 62 skylark with a 215, came stock with an auto, but thinking about a 4 speed to put behind the stroker motor. I picked up a 3 speed bell housing and wondering if a 4 speed will mount to a 3 speed bell housing. I can not find what bolt pattern would be on say a Muncie 4 speed. Any help would be appreciated. I imagine the belhousing are the same but im no muncie expert lol but if it indead does check out keislers 5 speed trans...perfect kit is really cheap and complete..onlything you need to suply is a muncie bellhousing. they have them in different torque rating/build too aka rs400 rs500 and rs600 seems like if the 3 speed is a 62-63(383) it wont bolt to a 4 speed unless you machine out the hole larger and you have to use the smaller tooth flywheel from 3 spd
