Does anyone know; Would a 1970 Skylark with a 350 and a 3 speed manual column shift have had a Muncie trans or a Saginaw? Thanks, Rich
Most likely a saginaw. How many bolts are on the top of the side cover and is there a bolt directly in the middle on top? Dave
If it was on the floor it would be a cast iron Muncie or a Ford depending on the year model. But if it is on the column I think Saginaw is the accepted answer.
So if I have a 350 4 barrel and I want to put in a 3 speed on the column, I will need to get a Saginaw trans or would a Muncie work or would it matter? Thanks, Rich
the saginaw was not designed for over 250 or so hp. the muncie would be the choice, if u can find one.
