Hey guys. I just installed a 3 inch kit of yours on a 70 GS this week. It fit nicely and sounds great. I would like a kit like this for my 71 too. But, it's got an N-25 bumper on it. Do you have provisions to make the kit work with this bumper? Thanks for having the head pipes to work with the shorty headers too. Made things easy.

I can answer this from the kansas point of veiw. Most likely no you cant get 3 inch thru the N25 very well. To do them as my muffler guy Curt Hogan said, in 3inch is nearly impossible. The pipe is too large and The pipe would be against the floor of the trunk to be able to exit thru the bumper. He had tried with my car when he used it for a pattern to make the N25 2.5 incher pipes patterns. He said it wasnt worth the potential damage to the car for the larger pipes so he wont make them. Now I cant speak for TA so I wont but they may have designed another pattern to fit. I will be curious to hear as well.

Not worth the effort. A 2.5 pipe flows about the same as a 3" muffler. Run 3 inch to the mufflers and then 2.5 out the tailpipes. Hogans stuff is the best, much better than TA

I'm sorry, no we do not have an exhaust kit that will fit cars with N-25 exhaust.

Interesting..Anyone care to elaborate on this? Am I wasting my time going to a 3.0" exhaust from headers to bumper? I have a 2.5" system and I always heard 2.5" was only good to 450 h.p? Later,Tony.

According to Pypes, a 2 1/2 inch straigt pipe flows 485 cfm, a 3 inch pipe flows 705 so that is a big difference. A 3 inch offset muffler flows 521 cfm.

    I ran a 3 inch x-pipe to 3 inch mufflers and ran 2 1/2 for tailpipes.

The 3" pipe is much larger than my 2.5" IMO. Much larger has to flow better. But, the sound is what sets it apart IMO. Nothing sounds as bad as 3".

3 gets really deep and throaty and will give it that extra cackle from what I've seen on our X, 2.5 is fine if your engine is stock or a little more than stock but if you want to maximize your performance you'd want 3
