3/4 ton Ford work van outruns ricer

Today during work,I was on the way to a customers house to check her modem.I had some ricer pull behind me and tailgate me for about 5 miles. We got to a red light, and when the light turned green we went thru the intersection.

After the intersection, the ricer whipped his car into the other lane and stepped on the gas.At this point I have accelerated to around thirty mph.The good thing is this is where the power kicks in for my van.I stayed in front of this kid for the next 1/2 mile or so until my turn started to come up.I lifted and started to press the brakes, and this kid went flying by me beating on his steering wheel.

I was quite surprised really, but enjoyed it none the less.Stupid ricers want to try and blow away a work van,but where are they when I am cruising my Sport Wagon.

Silly ricer, toy cars are for kids! Good kill!

I had the same thing happen in my 97 Ford conversion van. I have the trailer tow package with 3.55 gears, the 5.4 and the van comes on strong from a rolling start especially when you are going slow enough so it kicks down to first. Some fool was driving like a goof and when I went to pass on the right he gasses on it and then so do I. Well, I actually slide past him but bail because we are now going too fast for the street we are on and I slow to the limit. He keeps going and I never see him again.

How embarrasing it will be when they have to tell everyone they were beat by a big ole van. Cause you know they will also tell their friends the race stories they lose. LOL

i did something similiar to a bmw 325 that was tailgating me out in the country (how convenient it was on the kids 1/4 mile street strip).

Came right up on me, maybe 10 ft back at 55mph, so i sped up to 70, there he still was, so i just punched it, he kept up with me for about 2 seconds, then away i went.

When he pulled up next to me at the stop light (a ways down the street) i saw he had a friend in the car (trying to show off).

well, he wanted another loss, so i gladly gave it to him :Brow:
