24V Riv vs Roush stage 1

On the way back from the Texas mile today we were cruising through fort worth, a little bit of traffic.. on to the highway blows a mustang 05 or so stage 1 roush.. (didnt know till he did a ricer style drive by) he gets right on my rear and since i am already speeding, i give him a little soot to chew on, he doesn't back down,...so... it prompts me to slow down to match the speed of the car i was passing, and turn on my TST comp to level 2 (out of 9) and let him swallow some more soot. i speed up a bit to let him pass. i can hear him drop a gear or 2 as i get over and he floors it. he makes it to my rear bumper as i mash the gas. he doesnt make it to my door handle,.. poor guy doesnt even know what hit him. after i pull 2 cars on him as i top the car out... 100 mph.. i have to stop for some traffic and he flies by... not much of a car to beat but i had fun doing it!!

 

Now that's freakin cool! What tranny are you using behind the Cummins?

 

47re auto trans that came out of the dodge, i should mention also that it didn't come out of overdrive the whole race

 

Funny thing is he probably thought you were runnin rich and/or burning oil when he was behind you.

 

i felt bad for the person directly behind me when we took off.. i couldnt see them for a second or 2 till the smoke cleared :shock:

 

Just sayin...I hate mustangs, theres WAY too many of them, and almost everyone who drives one, including the base package v6's think they have the fastest car on the street and are usually complete you know whats.
Just sayin...

True statement about people thinking the stangs are Gods greatest gift to man. Heck a v6 stang down in My 6400 lb. Titan. Only ones I can respect are the 03-04 cobras. Pretty quick cars. But I'd never trade my Buick for anything, much less a Ford.

Amen... I got waxed by a modded Z06 c5 model on the way home tonight, I was out of boost when he took off and I just didn't catch up... But I was pretty close behind him the whole way until I redlined at 105.. That was on level 3 on the comp... 6 more to go and only 23psi of boost... Gonna get my fuel pump wired in this week and crank boost up to 32 or so and see what I can do then...hehehehe.....

 

Dang man, you need a two speed rear end or a brownlite!

 

I heard those 2 speeds are made of glass... And I am probably near 1000 lbft of torque now... I need a2.76 gear set or just a rear to throw in... That should get me to 130 or so...
