231 bronze distrubitor gear

I was looking around E-bay yesterday for a spare dristrubitor gear and saw the the 231 also has the same size shaft as the 455, but did not offer anything more.

Are they the same?

 

Wouldnt think so prob same as the 350, ive got two new bronze gears im never gonna use $40 shipped?

 

The dist housing is the same, hell the shaft is the same too. Im gonna bet yes but try it with caution.ray:

 

Not sure about the v6 gear but the 350 and 455 dist. gears are different,I think one of the gears has an extra tooth.

350 has 14 teeth and the 455 has 13 teeth

 

now if only someone can count the teeth on a 6 banger we shall have the definitive guide.
