For those of you not aware,the BCA National Show will be held in NC in 2012.The proposed show field location is ZMaxx Dragway in Concord,NC.There's lots of hotels,shopping and Nascar related attractions around the area.The BCA will not get involved with any racing but they are open to maybe work with our local GSGN Club so I'm keeping my fingers crossed to see if we can make it happen. The dates are from June 27th to July 1st of 2012.
The Olds Club of America was like that too. But they relaxed a bit for the Bowling Green meet and some cars went to Beech Bend. By all accounts it was a hit. If these clubs do not want themselves to die off as their members age they need to be more open to this type of activity. As for having this event at Charlotte, this weekend's Charlotte Auto Fair temps illustrate why this is a rotten venue for the BCA in the summer months. July ---August is way to hot to hold it there. I suspect this is when they will have it there too.
Hmmm - Sounds interesting! I went to the Flint show and it was really nice. This is close enough to make the effort! Maybe we could get some east coast BPG/Turbo representation! Make it the biggest GS and GN classes ever! - Bill
I talked to the local BCA President Saturday and he says they are working out a way to drag race on Wednesday night without the BCA actually beiing involved. Think of a private test and tune night just for all the Buicks that happen to be in town.
