will a stock 200r4 from a 3.8L handle the power of a stock 68 350/2? will it last long given i dont do burnouts (too often lol) and no brake stands?

I would use a 2004R from a 307 olds instead it is already set up to run a carb ( the 3.8 ) is a computer trans I use the 2004R in 3 of my cars and got them all from full size olds with 307 no problems at all :TU: Even my 81 Mazda RX7 with a 350SBC and 2004R has made 150+ passes at the track and works great still My 64 Skylark with a 350 4 SBB has racked up 3000 miles and a lot hard ones works just fine .. just add a BIG cooler

Being a stocker engine with regular use I'm going to bet on it being OK. Things break when you've got sticky tires, a good posi, and some extra power.

Hey Ken, any chance you have a spare 2004R lying around??
