I have 2 '71 Rivs I must sell due to crappy health. Both have been in outside storage for several years. The first is an ugly former daily driver that was running well when parked. I used to go out and pull the plugs and oil the cylinders, turn it over by hand and then fire and run/drive it for a half hour or so. That was every six months max, and after first replacing the oil and filter that was on the car at the time. Unfortunately, the last time I did that was nearly 3 years ago. The second is a roller that I purchased to install the drive train and assorted parts from the first into. It has no rust thru that I can find, and with some (okay, a lot) of elbow grease and a few bucks a person could build themselves' a nice cruiser out of these two. I have replaced nearly all the front suspension on the driver, only the a-arms are orig, and it's been checked on a laser rack so we know the frame is arrow, that if someone just wanted to put the other body on that chassis.The rotors and drums have plenty of wear left. Good titles on both, in fact the driver is currently licensed (long story). All my helpers are either totally pissed at me or have moved away or died(!) and I can't afford to farm out the work. I think $750 for both is a good deal, and I will insure the maroon car is driveable for that price. If not, I will adjust accordingly. I am in SoCal, Inland Empire area. Thanx. David.
